Dr. Rolim is like House but of foot doctors. Basically, I was misdiagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis seven years ago by my general practitioner at the time, and have for years dealt with on and off pain as a result. In a few minutes Dr. Rolim figured out I didn't have Plantar Fasciitis but instead tendonitis in a very specific spot on the foot that could be mistaken for Plantar Fasciitis. She also figured out that it's likely a result of how I exercise due to flat feet that pronate slightly which my previous doctor also misdiagnosed. She's got me on the path to recovery but most importantly I actually KNOW what's going on with my foot and I'm just grateful someone listened and took the time to really figure this out.

I’ve been meaning to write this review since my second visit with her, but my schedule is crazy. So the fact that I’m making time to write this means you guys can count this double and probably even quadruple. To give you an idea of what kind of judgement I can muster, I’m degreed in the bio-sciences and have done NSF funded neuro research in a couple prominent labs. This is unimportant except to convey that I can usually tell, at least a little bit, when someone is doing something wrong. As you can suspect, I’m extremely picky about who I trust as a doctor for me or my family. I first met Dr. Larissa Rolim when I was a patient at Academy Foot and Ankle, and was SO sad when they called me to schedule a followup with another doctor, saying that Dr Rolim had left the company. They obviously wouldn’t give me her new info (gah!!!), so I went into full-on stalker mode. I searched EVERYwhere online and finally found her at Maverick Foot and Ankle. I won’t see anyone else now as a podiatrist, probably ever (unless she moves to Alaska I guess). Additionally, I trust her fully with my elderly frail mother, which I HARDLY ever do with any doc.

I explained my situation and that my schedule was not so flexible and I would require care much sooner. Dr. Rolim was able to accommodate and scheduled me for the end the day appointment. Dr. Rolim is an amazing doctor! She is very knowledgable & has exceptional patient care. Unlike some doctors, Dr. Rolim takes the time to listen to the you, while asking thorough questions, in order to adequately understand the issue you are having. I went to see her when I had excruciating pain in my right foot, and she showed me that I had fractured two bones in my foot. I was very relieved when she laid out a distinct treatment plan, and spent time with me to explain in detail about what I needed to do in order heal properly.

While on vacation visiting my friend, I experienced an excruciating foot sprain while hiking. I went to Maverick because my friend highly recommended them. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t know the doctor. But my friend was so right. I received excellent, compassionate, bedside care for my injury. I was particularly impressed with the quality of service and time Dr. Rolim spent with me. She bandaged me up and even taught me how to bandage myself. I was up and walking continuing our vacation the following day. I even received a followup call from Dr. Rolim to check on my progress. I found them to be exceptional particularly because they knew I was unlikely to be a repeat patient since I live on the other side of the country. Dr. Rolim just showed genuine concern for me and frankly saved my entire vacation!

I got more help from this great podiatrist in one visit then I got from another in several years. impeccable bedside manner and follow up… Very thorough and very progressive. I can’t say enough good things. I’ve switched my whole family over to her and she’s helping all of us. My son had chronic knee and hip pain due to severely pronated feet and a leg length discrepancy.
